IHA Permanent Collection

IHA Permanent Collection

Indiana Heritage Arts began building its permanent collection in 2006 as a way for future generations to enjoy the exceptional work of today’s artists, just as we appreciate the legacy left by earlier artists.

The IHA Board purchases work from the annual show to build the Permanent Collection. Permanent Collection paintings are exhibited in the Brown County Art Gallery next to the work of the early art colony painters. In addition, pieces are placed on exhibit at other locations including the West Baden Springs Hotel, a nationally recognized historic hotel in French Lick, Indiana.

IHA Permanent Collection Endowment Fund

In 2006, IHA established an Irrevocable Permanent Collection Endowment Fund with the Brown County Community Foundation. The fund not only allows IHA to care for its permanent art collection but can be used for future purchases, insurance, display cost, and other educational projects. Anyone can donate either directly to the Brown County Community Foundation, with a notation on the face of the check that it is for the “IHA Permanent Art Collection,” or through the IHA annual membership renewal form. We welcome your support!
